What is Revealed Projects?
Revealed Projects, based in Weston-super-Mare, aims to inspire young people across North Somerset and parts of Somerset through promoting healthy self-esteem and positive relationships. As a member of the Esteem ACET UK Network, Revealed Projects provides both large and small group workshops for young people covering topics such as image, self-esteem, identity, healthy friendships/romantic relationships, online relationships, bullying/cyber-bullying, and spotting signs of unhealthy/abusive relationships, as well as exploring sexual relationships in age-appropriate contexts, including sexual readiness, consent, sexting and pornography.
Revealed Projects was launched by Holy Trinity Church in June 2016 in response to identified issues within the town. When setting up Revealed Projects, we held focus groups with small groups of young people across different youth groups in the town to find out what they felt their needs were and how they would like these to be met. Self-esteem, image, and relationships were top issues identified by the participating young people, reflecting national trends.
Feedback from teaching staff and young people has helped us to further develop the workshops to best meet the needs of young people. We network with other local agencies, such as schools, police, council, and other non-profit agencies to establish the needs they are seeing amongst young people and how we can best work alongside them to meet these needs.
Young people have been involved in the development of Revealed Projects, from the original research stage to input on marketing and naming the project.
Revealed Projects is based on a foundation of Christian values, however we do not actively promote religion through this work unless specifically asked.

Helping to make a difference in the lives of our young people, however big or small, matters.
